Gallpack is a product of TentaPack LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, which operates it. These terms are the agreement between TentaPack LLC and you. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

1. What Gallpack is

A place to show your work and be found. We host your page and display what you stage. Most artists send visitors to wherever they already sell, for that, we are not the seller, we are not a party to the sale, and we take no commission on it. Some artists also sell directly through Gallpack's own checkout; when that happens, see section 6.

2. Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. One person or studio per account. You must be 18 or older and old enough to enter a contract where you live; registering confirms that you are, and an account we learn belongs to someone younger is closed.

3. What you may stage

Your own original physical or fine art. Not someone else's work, not work generated by an AI system and presented as hand-made, and nothing you do not hold the rights to. We review staged work before it appears, and we can remove anything that breaks this.

4. Your work stays yours

You keep every right you have in your work. We claim none of it.

To show your work at all we need your permission to do so. By staging a piece you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, display it on Gallpack, and make resized copies of it: the thumbnail, the medium image and the zoom view, for the purpose of running Gallpack. That is the whole of the licence.

Showing your work elsewhere to promote Gallpack is separate, and you can switch it off. If we feature your work outside the site, for example in social posts, we will credit you and link to your page, and we will only show it as it already appears here. You can turn that off entirely in your profile, at any time, and turning it off changes nothing else about your account.

This licence does not let us print, sell, sub-licence or otherwise exploit your work on its own. Gallpack does offer prints, but only for a piece you specifically add a print offer to in your studio: that act, done by you, piece by piece, is the separate and explicit opt-in this licence requires before any printing happens. A piece with no print offer is never printed.

The licence ends when you remove the piece or close your account, except that copies already in backups may persist briefly until those backups rotate.

5. Fees

Gallpack has two plans: Free, and Pro at $40 a month or $480 a year, as set out on the plans page. An annual plan renews at the price it began at for as long as it renews without a break; a monthly plan renews at the price listed on the plans page at the time. We take 0% commission on your sales, at every tier. That is the point of the product, not a promotion. If you sell on your own outside store we take nothing at all; if a buyer checks out directly through Gallpack, we take a flat $1 per sale, never a percentage of the price.

Card processing is separate from our fees, and is deducted from your payout. When a buyer pays by card, the card networks and our payment processor charge a fee to move that money — currently about 2.9% of the total charged plus 30¢. Where sales tax is collected on a sale, the processor's own fee for calculating and handling that tax (currently 0.5% of the taxed total) is part of the same figure, and so is the processor's fraud-protection fee where Gallpack has it switched on (currently 0.4% of the charge). When a buyer pays from a US bank account instead of a card (offered on originals of $1,000 or more), the processor's bank-debit fee applies in place of the card fee (currently 0.8%, capped at $5), and the sale settles once the debit clears, a few business days later. Gallpack does not keep any part of it and does not add anything to it: it is passed through at the exact amount charged, and your payout statement itemises that amount for each sale. Because the rate depends on the buyer's card (an internationally issued card costs approximately 1.5% more), any figure we show you while you are pricing a piece is an estimate; the figure on your payout is what was actually charged.

When a sale is unwound, the processing is borne by whoever unwound it, never by Gallpack. The processor keeps its fee whether or not the sale stands. If the buyer changes their mind (the 14-day return, an unclaimed gift, a commission cancelled before you start), it comes out of their refund. If the unwinding is on your side — a piece that arrived damaged or was not as listed, an order you did not ship within 3 days, a plan or commission you cancel — it is yours, together with any shipping label Gallpack bought for you against that order: deducted from what you keep of that sale where there is anything to keep, and otherwise recorded against your account and deducted from your next payout. Your Billing & Payouts page itemises every such amount and what it was for.

A chargeback is yours. If a buyer's bank reverses a payment for a sale of yours (a "chargeback" or "dispute"), Gallpack contests it on your behalf with the delivery record. If it is lost, the amount the bank took back, the bank's dispute fee and the processing are yours: the payout for that sale is reversed, and anything the reversal cannot cover is deducted from your next payout. If it is won, nothing changes and the payout continues on its ordinary schedule. Anything the insurer or the carrier later pays out on a piece you bore the loss of is credited to you in the same way.

A sale paid from a Gallpack balance carries no processing charge at all, because there is no card involved — you receive the full price less only the flat $1. The same applies to any future payment method that does not carry a card-network fee. Our 0% commission is unaffected either way: we take no percentage of your sale price under any circumstances.

6. Buying through Gallpack

When a buyer checks out directly through Gallpack rather than an artist's outside store, payment is processed by Stripe. The artist ships an original; Gallpack does not handle shipping. A print is produced and shipped by one of Gallpack's print fulfillment partners (currently creativehub or Prodigi, depending on the print), from the file and sizing the artist configured, not by the artist directly. We take no percentage of the sale price itself: the flat $1 is the whole of it.

Payment for an original is held in Gallpack's own account until 14 days after the carrier confirms delivery (the same window as the return period below, measured the same way) and is then sent to the artist, minus our flat $1. A print, which is not returnable for a change of mind, is held 14 days from the order instead. That hold isn't Gallpack keeping the money; it's what lets an ordinary return be undone cleanly instead of having to claw money back after it's already moved.

Three kinds of sale settle 30 days after delivery instead of 14:an artist's first three sales, any sale of $1,000 or more, and a sale to a buyer whose account is under 14 days old. The order page says which applied. On a sale of $1,000 or more with a warning sign on the payment, Gallpack may check the payment with a person before the artist is asked to ship; the artist's 3 days to ship, and the buyer's right to cancel an unshipped order, run from the moment that check clears. If Gallpack declines the payment, the buyer is refunded everything but the $1 before anything ships and the artist owes nothing.

An original piece may be returned within 14 days of delivery, once, for a change of mind. The refund is what you paid less four things: the shipping you paid, the artist's 5% for handling the return, the card processing on the sale, and Gallpack's flat $1 — and you cover the return shipping. On a $500 piece with free shipping that is a refund of about $460: $25 to the artist, about $14 of processing the card networks keep whether or not the sale stands, and the $1. This is the one place a percentage applies at all: everywhere else in this product it's a flat $1 or nothing, and the artist's 5% exists specifically to make an unnecessary return cost something before it happens, not to take a cut of a sale that went through cleanly. Gallpack keeps nothing of a return but its $1.

If the piece arrived damaged or was materially different from its listing, none of the above applies: the buyer is refunded the full purchase price except Gallpack's flat $1, shipping included, and the artist keeps nothing — the processing on the sale is the artist's (section 5) — and we help make it right. The same applies to an original that has not shipped 3 days after payment, which the buyer may cancel from their order page. The $1 itself is never refunded, in any case; it's the one flat fee that exists everywhere in this product and it doesn't bend for a return. Anything bought through an artist's own outside store is not covered by this section at all -- that purchase is governed by that store's own terms.

A gift bought for someone else is held for them for 30 days; if it is not claimed by then, the piece goes back on sale and the sender is refunded everything except the $1 and the card processing.

A print is final sale for a change of mind -- that part doesn't change. But if a print arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered, report it from your order pagewithin 14 days of receiving it — as soon as you unpack it, ideally, since the printer's own claim window for transit damage is short — and, once confirmed, a replacement is sent at no charge, or, where a replacement is not possible, you're refunded the full purchase price except Gallpack's flat $1. This is handled directly by Gallpack, not the artist: a print is produced and shipped by one of Gallpack's print fulfillment partners, and the artist has no role in that process to be responsible for.

Reserve-and-pay plans

Some originals can be reserved with a deposit and paid for monthly. The full terms are shown, and must be accepted, before any payment is taken; the version accepted is stored with the order. In short: the deposit is at least 25% of the price; a service fee of 5% of the price is paid with the deposit and is never refunded; equal monthly payments are charged to the saved card on the dates shown; the piece is held off sale from the deposit and ships after the final payment, from which point the guarantee above applies. If a payment fails it is retried for about two weeks; if it still fails, or if the buyer cancels, the plan ends and the instalments and shipping are refunded while the deposit and service fee are kept. If the artist cannot deliver, the deposit, service fee, shipping and instalments are all refunded; only Gallpack's $1 fee is not, and the processing on every one of those payments is the artist's (section 5). The balance can be paid early at any time without charge, plus sales tax on it where that applies.

Commissions

Some artists take commissions: a collector describes a custom piece, the artist quotes a price (shipping included), a turnaround and how many revisions the quote includes, and the collector accepts by paying a deposit through Gallpack. A commission is custom work made to the collector's own brief. It is not returnable, and the return and refund terms above (the Guarantee) do not apply to it. If it arrives damaged, tell us and a person will help.

Every payment on a commission -- the deposit, the balance, and any add-on the artist quotes for a revision beyond the ones included -- is its own checkout and carries Gallpack's flat $1 fee, paid by the collector on top of the artist's figure. The $1 is never refunded, on any of them, and the artist's figure is never reduced by it. The deposit is refunded, less the card processing on it, if the collector cancels before the artist has started; once the artist has started, the deposit (and any paid add-on) is theirs for the work begun. If the artist cancels at any point before the balance is paid, everything the collector has paid except the $1s is refunded, and the processing on those payments is the artist's (section 5). Once the balance is paid, nobody cancels.

The artist delivers photos of the finished piece; the collector accepts, or asks for a revision, within 3 days, after which the delivery counts as accepted and the balance is due. The artist ships within 3 days of the balance, tracked. Gallpack holds every payment on a commission until 14 days after the carrier confirms delivery, then sends the artist the whole of it. A commission's finished piece is not listed on Gallpack; it exists only as the collector's order.

7. Reports, removal, and appeal

Visitors can report work. Enough reports temporarily hide a piece pending review by a person. A hide is not a finding against you. If your work is hidden or removed and you think that is wrong, tell us and a person will look again. We would rather restore a wrongly hidden piece than leave it down.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account whenever you like, or deactivate it and come back. We may suspend an account that breaks section 3 or is used to abuse other people; where we reasonably can, we will say why first.

9. What we do not promise

Gallpack is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that discovery will bring you buyers, or that it will make you sales. Keep your own copies of your images. A platform is not a backup, and this one is no exception.

10. Changes

If we change these terms materially we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you visit. The version above tells you which one you agreed to.
